Victoria Nicoll
Corporate Tax Director
Victoria works with companies and their owner-managers to achieve the best tax outcomes available for their businesses and their personal wealth. This may involve advising on an overall tax strategy, a specific tax relief, or helping them plan for their succession and exit.
Tax reliefs designed to encourage growth and investment are a real area of strength for Victoria. She enjoys maximising the benefits available to companies from research and development tax credits, the patent box regime, capital allowances and employee share planning. She is also skilled in all areas of UK property taxation.
On transactions such as share disposals, buying or selling a business, and company restructuring, Victoria balances the tax interests of the business and the individual. Keeping a keen eye on the needs of her client, she makes the most of valuable tax concessions, such as Entrepreneurs Relief, to ensure the transaction is a success for all concerned.
Before joining WMT, Victoria worked with notable regional practice, Price Bailey and big-four firm KPMG.
Outside of work Victoria enjoys being a mother to two young children and a bouncy Wirehaired Pointer. She is a lover of a good crime drama, classic novels, the countryside, and a good countryside pub. Victoria is treasurer for her local village society and a member of an amateur dramatics group. She and her husband built their own house, which featured on Channel 4’s ‘Building the Dream’.
