Complaints Policy

General complaints policy

We are committed to providing you with the highest levels of service and welcome feedback from our clients, whether complimentary or critical, to info@wmtllp.com.

We will review any complaints. Where a complaint is upheld, will take steps to put things right.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you are free to take your complaint to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). You can find information about how to do so at icaew.com/complaints.

Probate complaints policy

If you have a complaint relating to probate, in the first instance, please contact Head of Tax, Anne-Maree Dunn anne-maree.dunn@wmtllp.com.

Your complaint will be reviewed in a timely manner and if it is upheld, steps will be taken to put things right.

If we do not uphold your complaint or you are not satisfied with the steps we take to put things right, we will pass details to you of an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can still refer your complaint to the ICAEW. You may also be able to claim from the ICAEW’s compensation scheme. To do this, you must apply to the ICAEW within 12 months of the point you become aware of any losses. Further information is available at: icaew.com/probate.

You can also refer your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman. You must do this within six years of the event you wish to complain about or within three years of the point at which you became aware of the issue. Your referral must also be made within six months of our written response to you.

The contact details for legal ombudsman are:
