Long standing client John O’Conner celebrates 50 year anniversary

Family owned and run John O’Conner Grounds Maintenance celebrates 50 years in business this year.

The award winning Hertfordshire based business that operates landscape maintenance contracts from the Scottish Highlands & Islands through to the Isle of Wight plans to mark the occasion with lots of 50 themed events with its staff, customers and the communities it serves.

The focus for the events will be to support community-based projects in the areas in which it works.
Some of the events already planned include: –

50 Apprenticeship training opportunities created
50 Corporate Social Responsibility Projects
50 Trees donated to local schools

Chairman John O’Conner started the company in June 1969, five decades later the company remains in family ownership with his son Matthew O’Conner now Managing Director.

John commented ‘ I am extremely proud that we are celebrating this milestone in the companies history, being family owned our people are extremely important to me and attracting the very best in the industry has been the key to our success’

Since the company was formed it has remained true to John’s original values of providing a standard of service and quality of work that is second to none, to care for the staff, and to act with honesty, integrity and openness.
