New Employment Tax Director for WMT
01/08/2017
We are delighted to announce that Rob Ennis has joined as Employment Tax Director, further enhancing the capabilities of our already 18-strong employment taxes and tronc team.
Having worked for Big 4, mid-tier and boutique accounting firms, Rob has advised organisations large and small, across many industry sectors.
Rob covers everything from making sure employers are tax compliant through to the effect on employee taxation of major strategic changes – such as business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions. He also advises on share schemes and tax efficient rewards for employees, as well helping employers prepare for and respond to enquiries and investigations from HMRC.
Commenting on his appointment, Rob said: “WMT has a really dynamic client base comprising owner-managed businesses, plcs and charities, amongst others. The variety of clients, as well as WMT’s joined-up way of working, were what attracted me to the firm. I’m also looking forward to assisting with the challenges Brexit brings for employers, using my experience in the taxation of employees from overseas and expatriate remuneration to guide the firm’s clients.”
Anne-Maree Dunn, WMT Tax Partner said: “Rob joins us at just the right time. Share incentive schemes are increasingly popular with employers and Rob will help us meet this demand. Employment taxation is a significant tax for many businesses. Our employment taxes team, headed by partner Peter Davies, welcomes the addition of a senior team member who can advise clients on how to reward employees effectively as well as reduce business risks across the employment tax spectrum.”
