Meet Claire Slim
Joined WMT on 29th June, 2015, as a
Tax SeniorClaire joined WMT in 2016 shortly after returning to work following a career break to spend time with her children. She started out in the team preparing tax returns... and quickly progressed to supervising junior members of staff, writing reports and advisory material to running the compliance function and the team as a whole. Now that Claire has been promoted to Senior Manager, she intends to build even further on her advisory skills.
Meet John Hearn
Joined WMT in January 2017 as a Tronc Administrator (entry level)
John joined in Jan 2017 as a Tronc Administrator, duties involved processing allocations, filing info in document management system, generating letters from templates....
In 2018 he was promoted to Tronc Supervisor, taking on more duties around assisting the rest of the team & doing some checking of work. John was given training on Power Query and took on more responsibility around upgrading internal processes with this.
In November 2019 John became Assistant Manager, doing more checking of work, providing advice to clients, assisting and training team members, further involvement in client onboarding.
May 2022 he was promoted to Manager (Operations), became direct line manager for one employee (approving timesheets, leave, etc), further involvement in updating internal processes.Meet Rachael Hunt
Joined WMT on 27th November 2014 as a Tronc administrator (entry level)
In her role as tronc operations manager, Rachael’s busy days are spent liaising with new clients to help design and implement tronc schemes tailored to their restaurants..., checking tronc allocations, responding to client queries and running departmental projects.
Her strong communication skills and high level of patience help her in dealing with a large variety of clients. Her unflappable personality keeps her calm under pressure and helps her to form strong relationships with clients and staff alike.
A keen cook, Rachael can often be found in the kitchen, whipping up tasty home cooked meals. She likes to relax by watching EastEnders and going away on holiday.Meet Nicola Armitage
Joined WMT on 20th July 2015, as a PA & Senior Secretary
As personal assistant to WMT partners Andrew Williamson and Anne-Maree Dunn, Nicola’s role consists of managing a variety of work to ensure the smooth running of their diaries... and to make their lives easier. This can range from arranging meetings, organising diaries, responding to emails and project support. Nicola thrives on the responsibility entrusted to her, with a particular satisfaction in arranging meetings and events and getting involved in producing high quality reports and projects.
Nicola was promoted to Support Team Manager in 2022 where she manages the highly efficient admin team who support all the teams across the firm.Proud to be Enterprise Advisers

Most definitely! It’s not essential that you are a brilliant mathematician. There are many personal attributes that are more important than maths.
Good interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and good analytical skills are all important. You should also have good English language skills, both written and verbal, and have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
